Earning an associate degree in commercial art in 1979, Rose Kennedy began her art career as an in-house designer for a home décor manufacturer. She began working with an art publisher in 1989, and soon after that left her full-time design position to concentrate on her family and painting for her publisher. These combined experiences have helped her to become a versatile artist, working in different styles and mediums. Rose has created many licensed designs for applications such as art prints, book illustration, gift wrap, greeting cards and various textiles.
Beside creating art, she enjoys gardening, reading and water-skiing. Living on the family farm in North Carolina with her husband, two teenage children and a menagerie of pets, she finds inspiration in her countryside surroundings and in her children’s personalities and interests.
“I find designing and painting to be peaceful and satisfying, and am grateful to have found a creative outlet that allows me to preserve precious family time and yet uphold an artistic career.”
